Employers can begin a new plan offering anytime throughout the year. Your plan effective date will be the first of the month following your application in most cases. If you already offer coverage there may be options to change mid year.

The Open Enrollment Period begins in November each year. Plans sold before December 15th, during Open Enrollment will have an effective date of January 1st. Individuals with special qualifying life events can enroll at any time of the year.
